Applied Industrial Technologies (smp.applied.com) expanded its strategic relationship with Parker Hannifin Corporation’s Automation (www.parker.com/automation/) and Climate & Industrial Controls (www.parker.com/cig/) groups. The new arrangement expands the existing product distribution relationship to a national level. Applied now has the ability to distribute nationally Parker branded pneumatic air valves, FRLs, accessories, vacuum products, grippers and slides, as well as Schrader Bellows branded actuators and IPS structural framing products, to its MRO and OEM customers. Applied Industrial Technologies is the only distributor to receive national authorization from Parker’s Automation Group, which will enable Applied’s entire supply chain network to access those Parker products for timely distribution to its customers.

Parker Hannifin has been a supplier to Applied for nearly 20 years. A result of the new agreement will be access for Applied to PHConnect (Parker Hannifin Connect), a Web site that allows distributors to place orders, check status, and use additional tools such as cylinder configurators. In addition, industrial distribution managers from Parker will provide technical support and training on Parker’s products and systems.

Parker products will also be available through Applied’s Fluid Power Connection catalog, a print and online source of hydraulic and pneumatic products, and through Applied Maintenance America, a print and online catalog featuring industrial maintenance items.
