Parker Instrumentation launched an interactive Web site about its permanent tube connection technology for higher-pressure applications, Phastite. According to Parker, Phastite”s "push-fit" operation offers major savings over traditional permanent and higher-pressure connection techniques such as welding and cone-and-thread. The site, located at www.parker.com/phastite/, provides a wealth of information to help instrument and piping engineers understand exactly what the 20,000 PSI-rated technology can do for them. Parker says Phastite connectors have the potential to reduce installation costs by a factor of 90 percent or more. The Web site”s interactive value calculator is designed to allow engineers to see just how much they can save at a given installation by using the Phastite technology. Engineers can also view video of the connection techniques, download collateral, and find detailed answers to their questions.
