EMS Group Acquires Pipeline Maintenance Co.

Energy Maintenance Service Group (EMS Group, www.emsglobal.net) acquired Zaval-Tex (www.zavaltex.com), a pipeline maintenance company based in Beaumont, Texas. The deal adds 300 employees to the EMS Group workforce.

Energy Maintenance Service Group (EMS Group, www.emsglobal.net) acquired Zaval-Tex (www.zavaltex.com), a pipeline maintenance company based in Beaumont, Texas. The deal adds 300 employees to the EMS Group workforce.

Zaval-Tex specializes in pipeline maintenance and related construction, pipeline rehabilitation, and emergency response. Since being founded in 1986, Zaval-Tex has served major pipeline operators throughout the Gulf Coast region.

Over the past year EMS Group has acquired and transitioned four companies, as well as acquired the majority of the third-party contracts operated by CenterPoint Energy Pipeline Services Inc., now operating as EMS Gulf Coast, LLC.

EMS Group provides a full range of O&M services to more than 200 blue chip energy customers including major pipeline operators, local distribution companies (LDC’s), and independent power, oil and gas producers. EMS provides these integrated service offerings through six major service lines: Pipeline Management, Pipeline Integrity Management, Production & Pipeline Projects, Power Services, LNG/Natural Gas Services, and Data Management.
