Emerson (www.emerson.com), parent company of global technology provider Emerson Process Management (www.emersonprocess.com), created a new division called Remote Automation Solutions to better serve the remote measurement and control needs of the oil, gas, water, and wastewater treatment industries. The division combines Emerson’s Bristol, Fisher, Daniel, and Mobrey remote technology products and services into one a single business unit.
Emerson expects the move to strengthen its position in remote automation technology, such as integrated remote measurement and control solutions, autonomous wireless instrumentation, seamless communication integration, and system health diagnostics.
The new division will continue to offer flow computers, remote terminal units (RTUs), presets, instruments, and engineering services under the Bristol, Bristol ControlWave, FloBoss ROC, and Danload product brands through existing sales channels without any disruption in service to customers.
Jack Kelly, formerly president of Emerson’s Bristol division, will serve as president of the Remote Automation Solutions division and Jon Milliken, formerly president of the Flow Computer Division, will serve as executive vice president.
Emerson’s Remote Automation Solutions division will be headquartered in Watertown, Conn., with manufacturing locations in Watertown, Marshalltown, Iowa, Pickering, UK, and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.
