The Department of Energy (www.doe.gov) and the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM, www.nam.org), the nation”s largest industrial trade association, officially joined forces to meet U.S. manufacturers” energy efficiency challenges


The Department of Energy (www.doe.gov) and the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM, www.nam.org), the nation”s largest industrial trade association, officially joined forces to meet U.S. manufacturers” energy efficiency challenges through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU reinforces a joint commitment towards maximizing industrial energy efficiency, and implements an outreach effort to merge DOE”s portfolio of technologies and energy-saving resources with NAM”s connection to 13,000 member companies.

Specific activities of the partnership include combining existing tools, resources, and technical information into a central catalog of resources for manufacturers, providing support for implementing energy management programs and creating a Web site portal to resources and services.
