Thermo Fisher Scientific (www.thermofisher.com) acquired AquaSensors (www.aquasensors.com), a startup company founded in 2003 as a manufacturer of measurement systems for water quality and process control applications. Effective immediately, AquaSensors will be integrated into Thermo Fisher’s Water Analysis Instruments business (WAI) of the Environmental Instruments Division.
AquaSensors is expected to complement Thermo Fisher’s existing capabilities in water markets for laboratory electrodes and online analyzers. AquaSensors offers "smart" and analog process electrodes and hardware for pH/ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, ozone, free chlorine, turbidity and suspended solids.
