The HART Communication Foundation (www.hartcomm.org) updated its Protocol Slave Test Specifications to the HART 7 standard. The specs are designed to provide standardized test plans to verify the compliance of HART products, assist developers in producing a quality product, and to ensure the product will meet HCF compliance registration requirements. Developed by member company experts and the HART Communication Foundation staff, the HART 7 Test Specifications have been approved by HCF member companies.

HART 7, the latest enhancement to the HART Protocol, enables new capabilities for communication with intelligent field devices and features the WirelessHART standard. HART 7 is compatible with existing HART devices and supports the HART-enabled measurement, control and automation systems products, both wired and wireless.
