CiDRA Minerals Processing (www.cidra.com) signed a contract with Minera San Crist—bal, one of the largest open pit silver, zinc and lead mines and processing facilities in the world, to provide SONARtrac process monitoring instrumentation for flow measurement on critical lines. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

San Crist—bal is located in the Potosi district of southwestern Bolivia and hosts approximately 450 million ounces of silver, eight billion pounds of zinc and three billion pounds of lead contained in 231 million tons of open-pittable proven and probable reserves.

The SONARtrac systems will provide volumetric flow measurements on critical lines to assist San Crist—bal’s ramp up to full production.
