Habonim”s HermetiXis a patented stem seal designed to maintain zero stem leak and providemaintenance-free service. Named after its X-shaped design,the HermetiX meets the latest ISO 15848-1 standard for fugitiveemission, covering performance CO5 (5k cycles), and class BH fortemperature ranging from -29 C to +200 C. The seal”s flexible X-shapedesign and dynamic action enables improved performance as pressureincreases. This feature is particularly beneficial in situations ofstem side load. The most significant advantage of HermetiX overstandard rectangular-shape stem seals is that stem packing integrity ismaintained even when stem spring preload has relaxed over time as aresult of the erosion of soft parts. Hermetix is now being incorporated as Habonim’s new standard stem sealin most of its standard ball valve line.
