Mid-West Instrument”sModel 240 switch now features a differential-pressure transmitter option designed to provide users alow-cost, loop-powered 8-28 VDC two-wire solution in a heavy-duty,cast-aluminum housing. Wiringaccess is through a 1/2″ NPT port. This unit is not yet listed for useinhazardous locations. Accuracyis +/-2 percent from 20 percent to 100 percent of full scale. Indicator accuracy is +/-2 percent and isindependent of the transmitter operation. The diaphragm-operated unit providestotal separation of high and low pressure by means of a convoluted elastomerdiaphragm. The transmitter can be used to measure pressure drop across filters,strainers, separators, valves and pumps. Pressure-containing elements are availablein aluminum or 316 SS. Safe working pressure for aluminum and 316 SS is 1500PSIG with full over-range protection to maximum working pressure. Differential-pressure ranges from 0-20 in. H20 to 0-100 PSID (0-50 mbar to 7bar) are available. Gauge fronts with 4.5-inch dials have shatter-resistantlens and use reinforced, engineered plastics to eliminate corrosion.
