    Brooks Instrument”svariable-area flowmeter line now offers a Foundation Fieldbus option, making the company the first variable-areasupplier in the world to offer this communication option.Foundation Fieldbus is an all-digital, two-way communicationstechnology for plant instrumentation. It provides devices expandedaccess to diagnostics and other digital information. Other benefitsinclude lower engineering and installation costs and optionaldevice-based control in the field. The variable-area FoundationFieldbus option is available on the MT3809 and MT3750 metal tubeproducts. Designed to integrally mount to these meters, the FoundationFieldbus option utilizes SMAR transmitter technology and is DeltaVcompatible.
