ABB’s SM500F is a four-channel recorder that offers access to operationaldata wherever the process may be. The data recorder can beeasily installed into a panel, wall, or pipe without the additionalexpense of costly enclosures normally required to field-mount atraditional videographic recorder. Its fully sealed NEMA4X and IP66 enclosure provides full protection against water, dirt, anddust, making it a good fit for hose-down and dirty applications out in thefield and at the process.Thedata recorder isavailable with a choice of either a color or monochrome display topresent process data in a variety of display formatsincluding chart, bargraph, and digital indicator views. On-screenhistorical logs provide operators easy access to alarm, totalizer, andaudit trail data in a Windows environment.  Process dataand historical logs are securely archived to a removable common SDcamera card with a capacity of up to two GB. Immediate supportcan be accessed via an online help feature. The data recorder is fully compliantwith the FDA’s 21 CFR Part 11 regulations concerning electronic processdata collection, making it a good fit for any installation where localindication and recording of process conditions is needed.
