Spraying Systems Co.”s Retractable Tank Washer (RTW) is designed to automate the cleaning of tanks up to 40 feet (12 m). The system eliminates time-consuming, dangerousmanual cleaning, reduces consumption of costly chemicals and water, andcleans tanks thoroughly and consistently. The RTW also eliminates theneed for workers to manually insert and remove the tank washer from thetank/reactor. A pneumatic mechanism lowers and raises the tank washerat the beginning and end of cleaning cycles. The RTW iscontrolled by a control panel that allows users to setmultiple stopping points between full insertion and retraction. Thisallows the nozzles to be positioned in locations where more cleaningimpact is required or to clean around internal tank obstructions. Thecontrol box can be located away from the tank for safety andconvenience. Cleaning cyclesranging from 2.1 to 11 minutes. Designed for cleaning PTFE, latex, acrylic, polymer, paint, cosmetic, food and pharmaceuticaltanks/reactors, the RTW operates at pressures up to 4000 PSI (275 bar)and temperatures up to 140 F (60 C). Explosion-proof versions areavailable along with optional isolation valves, liquid valves, andliquid pressure switches for applications requiring additional safety.
