Red Valve”s Series DX slurry knife gate valve is a durable anduser-friendly device designed for heavy slurry applications in thepower and mining industries. When the Series DX valve opens, reinforcedelastomer sleeves seal against each other and provide a 100 percent full-portopening, minimizing turbulence, which in turn minimizes wear. The seatsisolate and protect all metal parts of the valve from coming in contactwith the process. When the valve is closed, the sleeves provide a drop-tight seal. The valve is able toprovide drop tight shut-off in both directions. Each time the valve strokes, it is designed to discharge asmall amount of slurry out of the valve, keeping the gate path and seatarea clear of entrapped particulates, thus preventing slurry buildup in the seat area, which mightotherwise prohibit the valve from closing.
