Dynasonics” DTTStransducer series is designed to provide easy, low-cost installation onpipe and rigid tubing sizes from 1/2″ (12 mm) to two inches (50 mm). Whenmatched with any Dynasonics transit-time transmitter, it can replacemechanical flowmeters in applications where liquid conditions tend todamage or impede mechanical flowmeter operation. The transducer doesnot contact the internal liquid and has no moving parts. Because itclamps onto the outside of existing piping and tubing, there is noprocess shutdown. This noninvasive feature allows solids to passthrough the pipe with no effect on the transducer. The transducer is agood fit for most clean liquids or liquids containing moderate amountsof suspended solids or aeration. It can be used on carbon steel,stainless steel, copper, and plastic pipe materials.
