WA Technology”spatent-pending Flow Rate Limiter is designed to provide a maximumshielding gas flowrate for most popular flowmeters. This preventswelding operators from using excess gas flow that is not only wastefulbut often creates a turbulent shield causing air to be pulled into thegas stream. The device allows the user to set the desired maximumflowrate. Once the max. flowrate is established, the system clamps overthe flow control knob by tightening a set screw, preventing increasesfrom the desired level. Welders Scan still reduce the flow from thatpredetermined level as the application dictates.  A locking systemis available to assure settings are maintained. No alterations of theflowmeter are needed. The device may be used on regulators/flowmetersemployed in cylinder shielding gas supply or those used on pipeline gassupply.
