Envirosight”sQuickView zoom camera is a sewer and pipeline inspection tool thatallows an operator to measure distance and view far-away objects. Thecamerameasures the distance to in-focus targets and displays the reading on ascreen. An operator finds an object, focuses on it, and presses the”measure” button on the controls. This feature is a good fit forcorrelating taps to residences, troubleshooting backups, andidentifying the location of problems such as offsets, root balls, anddebris. The camera calculatesdistance based on the camera’s focus and zoom settings, achievingaccuracy of +/- 10 percent over a range of 20 to 160 feet. Themeasurement appears onscreen as a distance range, which takes thisaccuracy into account. Readings can be configured for standard ormetric units.
