Emerson ProcessManagement’sreleased a stainless steel housingoption and Hastelloy C wetside sensor option for its Mobrey Squing 2vibrating, short-fork level sensor. Both options are designed toincrease resistance to corrosion and chemical attack in aggressiveoffshore, chemical,and petrochemical environments. The stainless steel housing is ATEXflameproof, FM explosion-proof, and safe-area approved. TheHastelloy sensor is a good fit for detection of hostile liquids such asbleaches, chlorines, acids, fluorides, and fuel oils. The new versions ofSquing 2 are available with a choice of threads and flanges andfeature a visible heart-beat LED, which flashes continuously to giveperpetual indication of state, as well as confirmation that thesensor is operational.
