The International Society of Automation (ISA) named Robert E. Lindeman as its 2012 President.

Lindeman has worked in the instrumentation field since 1971. He is currently a system engineer for Aerospace Testing Alliance working at a space environmental test facility under development at Arnold Engineering Development Center. He is also the Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) Center Technical Fellow for the Instrumentation, Control, Data, and Automation Center of Technical Excellence.

Lindeman is an ISA Fellow who has helped organize multiple International Instrumentation Symposia over the last 20 years. He has served in numerous ISA leadership positions including director and facilitator of a technical interest division and vice president on the ISA Executive Board. He is a Certified Automation Professional (CAP), Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the Tullahoma, Tenn. Utility Board, his hometown’s provider of electricity, water, wastewater, and fiber service.
