Product Focus: Valves and Flowmeters

Nov. 18, 2020
New products from Festo, Endress+Hauser, Ashcroft, and NEOPERL.

1 | ball valve configurator

Festo’s KVZB Ball-Valve Configurator simplifies the ordering process. KVZB assemblies start with a stainless steel two- or three-way ball valve and can have a hand lever or fully automated package. The online configuration process supplies price, estimated delivery date, data sheet, bill of material, 2D CAD data, 3D CAD models and certificates. Units arrive fully assembled and tested. KVZB valves are rated up to 1,000 psi operating pressure. Connection options include ASME/ANSI and DIN/ISO for pipe thread, welded ends, flanges and sanitary clamps.

2 | thermal mass flowmeters

Endress+Hauser’s Proline t-mass F/I 300/500 flowmeters are reliable for measuring pure gases and gas mixtures and have numerous alarm functions as well as bidirectional measurement capability and reverse flow detection. Even when process and ambient conditions fluctuate, t-mass ensures high measurement accuracy (±1.0%) with repeatability of ±0.25%. Gas flows with low pressure and a low flow velocity can also be measured due to a high turndown ratio. Also, t-mass F/I can operate at temperatures up to 356°F and pressures up to 580 psi.

3 | valve assembly

The Ashcroft V02 monoflange provides block and bleed capability for process or instrumentation control. The process variation adds an outside screw and yoke head for service as a primary isolation valve. Compatible with 1/2- to 3-inch standard ASME raised face and ring joint flange connections, the valve system easily mates to existing common flange couplings. The 316L stainless steel wetted parts along with optional alternate materials allow the V02 to stand up to a variety of pressure media. It has a max pressure rating of 6,092 psi at 428°F.

4 | check valves

NEOPERL check valves are auto-assembled and 100% tested to provide durable drip-tight operation. Sizes range between 1/4-inch and 2-inch for applications up to 200°F and 260 psi. Select models come with a pressure-compensating flow regulator (0.5 to 4 gpm). All NEOPERL check valves have been designed for use with drinking water and are used worldwide to provide backflow prevention consistent with domestic codes. Most are certified to ANSI/NSF 61-372 and ASME A112.18.3M.
