The Dynasonics Division of Racine Federated Inc. and its new TFX Ultra product were recognized by BizTimes Milwaukee as a winner of the 2010 IQ (Innovation Quotient) Award. IQ Awards are presented to Wisconsin-based companies that generate innovative products, services or processes. They must have a presence in Southeastern Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington, Sheboygan, Racine, Walworth or Kenosha Counties. The TFX Ultra is an ultrasonic flow and energy meter that clamps on the outside of existing pipes without contacting liquids. There is no need to shut down the process for installation or maintenance, therefore the TFX Ultra can be installed and fully operational in minutes. With no moving parts, there is no mechanical wear – no repair kits or replacement parts are ever needed. The meter is designed to accurately and repeatably measure flow for full-pipe liquids on nearly all pipe materials sizes ½" and larger. Applications include cooling lines, raw sewage flows, water distribution and other processes where system shutdown is impossible. The TFX Ultra is also available as an energy flowmeter measuring energy usage in BTUs or Tons, and is a good fit for retrofit, chilled water and other HVAC applications. As part of the IQ Awards program, Dynasonics was featured in an edition of BizTimes Milwaukee and was also honored at the sixth annual BizTech Conference & Expo held at Wisconsin State Fair Park on April 29th, 2010.
