Yokogawa to Bolster North American Operation, Adding 1,000 Employees By 2015
Yokogawa Corporation of America is increasing its North American presence by expanding its facility in Newnan, Ga. As part of this effort, the company expects to add more than 1,000 full-time employees to its North American business by 2015.
According to Brad Byrum, North American vice president of sales & marketing for Yokogawa, demand for the company’s portfolio of products, solutions, and services has never been stronger.
“While we have grown consistently over these 20 years, the current economic growth directly and indirectly related to shale energy and unconventional oil and gas in general, with the accompanying growth of downstream chemical investment, has fueled demand from both our loyal existing customers, as well as many new customers,” said Byrum.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the Newnan facility was held on January 22, 2014.
“We have been manufacturing, calibrating and servicing our instrumentation lines here in Georgia for more than 30 years,” said Richard Westerfield, North American vice president of the measurement & control business unit. “Over the years we have continuously improved our capacity and capabilities. This current facility expansion here in Georgia will give us the capacity to continue our proud heritage of continuous improvement for our rapidly growing list of customers.”
