McCrometer’s Flow Calibration Lab Accredited to ISO 17025
McCrometer’s flow calibration laboratory is now accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005, making it one of only six flow labs in the United States that has achieved this accreditation, according to a company announcement.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission’s (IEC) Standard 17025:2005 describes the general requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibration of precision equipment.

Accreditation of McCrometer’s Hemet, Calif. facility, which features three gravimetric systems and two volumetric systems, is intended to provide McCrometer’s V-Cone flowmeter customers worldwide with confidence in its laboratory flow calibration and test results, the company said.
Much like ISO 9001 establishes the standard for the quality of the product, ISO 17025 establishes the quality of the calibration. The company said accreditation of its calibration test stands gives its customers the extra assurance that the calibration accuracy of the McCrometer V-Cone meter is accredited by a competent third party and represents proof of McCrometer’s commitment to total product quality both in the U.S. and internationally.
McCrometer's calibration lab is accredited to ISO 17025 through the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program, a signatory to the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation. ILAC is a global cooperative of laboratory and test accreditation bodies. In the United States, ILAC accreditation is undertaken by the National Institute of Standards and Technology through the NVLAP.
