API Tank, Valves, and Piping Conference Set for Oct. 15-16

Sept. 25, 2014

The American Petroleum Institute will be hosting its first annual combined API Terminal and Refinery Equipment Conference, Oct. 15-16 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) will be hosting its first annual combined API Terminal and Refinery Equipment Conference, Oct. 15-16 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Celebrating its 20th year, the API Storage Tank Conference is combining forces with a new API conference: API Valves and Piping Conference. Combined, these two events will give attendees an opportunity to learn about new and existing industry codes and standards, and to hear about emerging trends from industry experts, API says.

This two-day conference will offer over 65 sessions in three conference tracks addressing the needs of individuals involved in production systems, pipelines, terminals, refining and chemical manufacturing, and storage facilities. Each day focuses on presentations relevant to upstream, midstream and downstream.

Designed to be a flexible program, it will allow attendees the ability to attend any of the three offered tracks—Tank, Valve & Piping, and Refinery Equipment—and will feature multiple panels designed to help attendees understand the requirements to maintain terminal and refinery equipment integrity while complying with environmental rules. These sessions are chosen and presented by recognized experts in the field, API says.

The conference will be co-located with the API Safe Tank Entry Workshop, Oct. 13-14. In addition to this workshop, other courses during the event include two half-day courses presented by the U.S. EPA and a one-day API/STI Storage Tank Fundamentals Course, all on Oct. 14.
