Hydraulic Institute to Host Webinar on Rotodynamic Pumps: Guidelines for NPSH Margin
Registration is now open for the Hydraulic Institute’s webinar, Rotodynamic Pumps: Guidelines for NPSH Margin, at 1 p.m. ET Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015.
HI has collaborated with its NPSH committee members in developing this technical webinar program that focuses on NPSH and its relationship to cavitation and other pump operation.
Designed for pump distributors, manufacturers and end-users, the NPSH webinar is designed to instruct participants on how to calculate the available NPSH, understand how insufficient NPSHA will affect pump operation and what NPSH margin is needed to ensure good performance longevity to pump equipment.
According to HI, issues associated with lack of NPSH are increased noise and vibration due to cavitation, beginning of head or efficiency drop, and eventual damage to pump impeller or casing.

"Understanding NPSH margin is critical to ensuring optimum and long-term pump performance," said Mark Sullivan, HI’s Education & Marketing Director.
The webinar will last one hour with time allotted for a live Q&A session. HI members receive an additional 25 percent discount. Attendees earn 1 PDH credit at the webinar’s conclusion.
Registration is now open. The deadline to register is noon ET, Jan. 13, 2015.
