KROHNE to highlight process instrumentation at the American School of Gas Measurement Technology 2022

Aug. 19, 2022
Experts to demonstrate highly reliable instrumentation for the oil and gas industry.

Beverly, MA — August 19, 2022 (KROHNE release) — KROHNE, Inc. will be showcasing reliable process instrumentation for the oil and gas industry at the American School of Gas Measurement Technology (ASGMT), to be held September 19-22, 2022, at the Marriott Westchase Hotel in Houston, Texas.

KROHNE equipment to be featured in booth 134 includes the ALTOSONIC V12 ultrasonic flowmeter for Gas Custody Transfer measurement and the OPTIMASS 6400 twin bent tube Coriolis mass flowmeter.

The ALTOSONIC V12 ultrasonic gas flowmeter on display offers high accuracy, making it ideal for custody transfer applications. The ALTOSONIC V12 has 12 measuring chords, two of which are solely dedicated to diagnostic functions. Once commissioned, it continuously checks the operating status. The positioning of the chords in five horizontal parallel planes compensates for swirl and thus, provides reliable measurements, even with highly distorted flow profiles. The diagnostics in the ALTOSONIC V12 can reliably assess deposits, contamination or changes in wall roughness, so that maintenance can be scheduled according to actual needs.

Also on display will be the OPTIMASS Coriolis flowmeter which features Entrained Gas Management (EGM). This means there is no loss of measurement with gas entrainment up to 100 percent of volume. These Coriolis mass flowmeters are ideal for applications with liquids and gases.

The OPTIMASS 6400 has been approved for custody transfers of both liquids and gases, making it ideal for process industries and specialist applications like LNG, CNG, or supercritical gases in terminal or storage/bunkering, along with custody transfer applications.

KROHNE will also display and demo Pipeline Leak Detection Software Solutions PipePatrol. KROHNE will be helping end users meet regulatory PHMSA compliance for liquids, natural gas, C02 and Hydrogen Pipelines to help reduce greenhouse effects.

KROHNE Next Generation Flow Computer Summit 8800 will also be on display in order to help end users looking for new vendors where older style flow computers are becoming obsolete with parts and encountering longer deliveries due to supply chain issues for components.  This also applies to security needs to having a flow computer compliant to external influences by using software which does not tie into updates with Microsoft Windows.
