Sundyne, a global leader in the design and manufacture of API compliant pumps and compressors for the oil and gas, refining, chemical and water/wastewater industries, announced it has achieved ISO 9001:2015 re-certification for the quality management systems implemented by its Arvada headquarters in Colorado and Doylestown, Pennsylvania, locations. ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is based on principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001 helps to ensure that customers receive consistent, high-quality products and services.
“ISO certification is one of several quality measures we use to show our suppliers, partners and customers that we practice repeatable, reliable and continuously improving processes that deliver world-class products,” said Sundyne’s Quality Manager Bob Cordova. “Our field staff and distribution partners often talk to our customers about Sundyne’s quality and safety programs – which we feel are an important part of our value proposition and the Sundyne brand.”
Sundyne’s re-certification was completed by Denver-based ISO 9001 management system certification firm, Platinum Registration. The extensive assessment process worked through the challenges of COVID-19-imposed workforce restrictions and social-distancing requirements. Over a period of several days, the audit covered engineering, design, manufacturing and after-sales servicing of pumps and compressors.
“Platinum Registration’s auditors were extremely thorough – in fact, we felt the process was even more diligent than the last time we were certified,” said Sundyne’s Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, Keith Motyl. “Throughout this process, everyone on the Sundyne team demonstrated our commitment to organization, efficiency and excellence – qualities that we believe are now more important than ever.”
