Lubrizol Begins Multi-Million Dollar Expansion of Louisville, KY CPVC Plant??Lubrizol Advanced Materials, a business segment of The Lubrizol Corporation, has begun work on a multimillion-dollar expansion at its Louisville, Ky. manufacturing facility. The project, which Lubrizol says is designed to meet growing demand for its TempRite chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) products, is expected to continue through 2012.
Since 1961, the Louisville plant has been manufacturing CPVC resins and compounds for use in a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial piping products under the FlowGuard, BlazeMaster and Corzan brand names. CPVC products were first commercialized by The Lubrizol Corporation in 1959.
“This plant expansion is just one of many efforts being undertaken to support our global strategic growth plan,” said Dale Willis, general manager, TempRite Engineered Polymers, in a prepared statement. “Lubrizol recognizes the tremendous growth potential for our CPVC products and is willing to support that growth with the necessary technology and manufacturing enhancements.”
