Cla-Val, which celebrates its 75th year in business in 2011, opened the doors of a new valve R&D lab earlier this month.

Cla-Val, a manufacturer of automatic control valves, launched a new research and development laboratory located at the company’s global headquarters in Costa Mesa, Calif.

The lab is dedicated to developing new products to meet customer requirements for efficient operation of waterworks distribution systems, enhanced fire protection capabilities in commercial, offshore and marine applications, as well as products that improve the function and safety of aviation ground fueling operations.

The new lab will be utilized to further the company’s development efforts in electronic products, such as the company”s recently released hydro power generation system and several new ground fueling products, including a strainer ball valve.
