Spirax Sarco Inc. (SSI, www.spiraxsarco.com) received the National Board "VR" Certificate of Authorization. The certification program identifies organizations that have established and demonstrated a quality system for the repair of pressure relief valves used on boilers and unfired pressure vessels.

The "VR" repair symbol stamp, when applied to ASME Code symbol stamped/National Board capacity certified relief valves, designate units as having been repaired to the requirements of the National Board. The certification is valid through Jan. 29, 2010.

The National Board provides accreditation as a method of documenting properly performed repairs and aid in the attainment of OSHA safety equipment maintenance requirements. The National Board was created in 1919 to promote safety through uniformity and adherence to codes in the construction, installation, repair, maintenance ,and inspection of boilers and pressure vessels.
