The HART Communication Foundation (HCF, www.hartcomm.org) published a revised edition of The HART Field Communications Protocol—A Technical Overview. Originally referred to as the "Blue Book" by Romilly Bowden, the recently updated manual is a technical introduction and integrators guide that describes and explains the main features of the HART Protocol.

"The manual provides technical details of the HART Protocol in a user-friendly format that will help users and system integrators understand the features and benefits of the technology," says Ed Ladd, HCF director of technology programs. "It is an excellent reference manual for anyone who wants to know more about HART technology without delving into the 2500-page Protocol Specification."
