John Erskine Jr. takes on the chairman role at Racine Federated after serving 28 years as president of the company.

Racine Federated Inc. (www.racinefed.com) named John Erskine Jr. as its new chairman of the board. Dave Perkins was named Erskine’s successor as president of Racine Federated, a position Erskine has held since 1980. Perkins joined Racine Federated in 1986 as a director and became the company’s vice president and CFO in May 1990. Dave will continue in his role as CFO.

As chairman, Erskine will be responsible for the strategic direction at Racine Federated, a privately held Racine, Wisc.-based manufacturer of flow measurement instrumentation and internal concrete vibrators.

Erskine began his career with Racine Federated Inc. in December 1970, serving on the company’s Board of Directors and working as a manager. He took over as president for John Erskine Sr. During his tenure, Racine Federated acquired several other companies including Flo-tech, Blancett, Dynasonics, Preso, Racine Vortex, Asahi (Vortex), and Thiermann.
