ITT Goulds” TaperBore Plus seal chamber is designed to allow the mechanical seal to runcooler and with better face lubrication. It”s also configured to keep solids, air, andvapors away from the seal faces to extend seal life. The TaperBore Plus is an enlarged seal chamber, which allows increased radialclearance between themechanical seal and the chamber, providing better liquid circulationthereby improving heat removal. The Taper Bore Plus also has a VaneParticle Ejector, which directs solids away from the seal faces. The design also supports the efficient removal of airand vapors.
